After reading the recent post about the Sebring video I decided to see how many Unlimited pilots were at each contest so far this year.
Either there was NO unlimited participation:
Hoosier Hodown
Wildwood Classic
Carolina Boogie
Ben Lowell
Snowbird
or 2 participants
Lone Star
East Coast
or 3 participants
Coalinga Western
Dual in the Desert
Hammerhead roundup
Only Sebring, the hugh early year contest in Florida was able to attract a whopping
7 participants.
What I thought was cool is that a guy flying a S-2B took 2nd in one of the two participant contests .he actually scored pretty well!
I guess not that many people have $250K laying around to spend on a "competitive" airplane!
