I have an upper wing aux tank we just plummed up in my S2E but there's not enough room for a fitting for my vent tube around the main fuel line. I only plan on using the aux tank for cross country and no acro. We have a trip coming up sunday and was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on drilling a hole in my thermos style fuel cap (which aircraft spruce recommends with non vented tanks) to make it vented. I'm wondering though if the air going over the top wing and fuel cap would cause fuel to be forced out the vent hole or not..especially if were not using the aux tank and burning out of the main first. Has anyone had any experience with this?
