    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

We noticed some free play in our elevator control- the torque tube moves fore and aft almost 1mm, which is amplified at the top of the stick. I plan to disassemble the bushings to measure them. Does anyone have a good fix for this? Is shimming an option? Otherwise I am thinking of rebuilding the bearing blocks. The fore/aft movement is controlled by flanges on the front bearing.
