    Why become a Subscribing Member?

    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

I'm in need of education on paint. I have some acrylic lacquer touch up paint that came with the aircraft when I bought it. I had it put into a rattle can as it was colour matched to the 2 pack that was used to paint the airframe.

What is the better paint for touch ups and painting small parts from a rattle can, acrylic lacquer or enamel? What's the fundamental difference between the two? I want something I can use from time to time without a compressor and a gun.

As you can tell, I'm on a steep learning curve here.
