I've built up new elevators per Steen S1-C CAD plans but can't figure out how the elevator trim works. I built the 17-1/4" single trim tab. I was planning to just run a long Bowden (push-pull solid wire with 7/32" housing) from cockpit back to exit of guide tube in elevator.

Is that how people do it? I can't make any sense of the 16" and 3" guide tubes in the fuselage (with 1/4" aluminum tube in between). Will the clamping force of the 5/16" tube cross-ways to the 3/8" tube tighten down enough to grab my cable housing?

And what is the "thing" called a guide end where the 3/8" tube exits the bottom of the elevator near the trim tab?
