Trust issue with homebuilts

I would like to buy a Startduster Too, Skybolt, or similar aerobatic biplane but I am having trust issues with buying a homebuilt. The trust issue is with the quality of the welds on the fuselages because the last thing I want to do is have the thing break apart when doing aerobatics. I'm starting welding school, but I'm not sure I want to one because I think I lack the skills to build one, nor do I think that my one-car-garage is big enough.
