Hello, all. I am to the point where I am closing up small areas of my wings and I need to begin varnishing/sealing some areas before closure.

I plan on using the Stits covering system so it seems that I am to use EV-400 epoxy varnish. I covered my Kolb with Stits products but obviously never had to use varnish and the Poly Fiber manual is surprisingly vague with regards to wood prep so I am seeking answers to the following...

-is EV-400 is used (with catalyst) then reduced for the first coat then a coat of non-reduced for the final coat?

-is T-88 is a suitable sealant for small areas?

-will I need a full gallon of EV-400 for the airplane? (!)

Thanks!

Kip
