New to the market. Made in the Czech Republic.
One of their U.S. distributors: www.flydiver.com
They're relatively light and compact, but most of them are pretty fast-spinning. That doesn't lend itself to biplanes. Note, though, that the Scarlett 5 makes 5 more HP than the Jabiru 3300 at 300 FEWER rpms, and only weighs an extra 9 pounds. The Jabiru is already proven on the original Hatz Bantam. The Scarlett 5 might be an ideal radial alternative. It weighs a LOT less than the Rotec R2800!
The radial is slightly cheaper than the 6-cylinder Jabiru, as well.
Look upon them and drool.
