I bought a pair of Harbor Freight safety wire pliers (a poor copy of the Milbar 1W design, as far as I can tell), and they started slipping open pretty quickly: the metal tab that should latch the handles closed is bent, and has gotten worse quickly. My at-home pair is ex-Boeing from back when the surplus store was still open and I got them for $10 or something -- very good, but no return spring. I'd like to get a new pair for the hangar, and figured if I'm going to blow $80-120 on a pair of fancy pliers, I might as well see if there's something new and/or better out there before I grab a NOS Milbar 1W off Ebay for less.
