I hope some of the members here who have big airplanes will have an answer for me. The Howard DGA-8 I'm doing the wheel pants for has 7.50 x 10 tires. On tires that large what is a good number for clearance to the opening from the tire. I don't think 1/2" would be enough and even 3/4" may be too skinny. If there are any pant-equipped airplanes that have large tires like the Howard I'd love to know what the clearance is on those airplanes.
