    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Perfect addition to your biplane!
Tailwind friends,
It is time for us to sell our Wittman Tailwind Race #37; a successful cross-country air racer and premium cross-country tourer for two folks.
We hold the closed course class record in the Sport Air Race League at 236.18 with a highly developed O-320 with Airflow Performance fuel injection and dual Lightspeed Plasma III ignitions with cockpit adjustable ignition timing. Dual batteries for redundancy.
Prop is a Catto 68X82 that goes good and gets us in and out of our 1800’ strip with trees close by on both ends.
Completed in 2003, so a centennial homebuilt; it has 832.2 hours since new. White overall with red trim. Cover is Ceconite system..
Interior has three-layer Temperfoam seat bottoms with shoulder harness and anti-submarine straps and 3” lap belts, has set back rear spar carry-through for more headroom.
It cruises at 205-210 at 8-8.5 gph carrying 37.8 gallons of fuel. Empty weight was 848, now 855#. It has pitch and aileron trim.
Many photos, information and specs available; $69000, I will include some training; if it does not sell here to folks that are more knowledgeable, it will go onto Barnstormers in the future.
Thank you to all that have given me support and friendship over the decades,
Red
