    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

This is how trophies are done. The drunks at the East Coast contest this weekend handed out awesome flasks of different sizes for the top 3 in each category. 1st place is a super size. Should help ease the discomfort of those long x-countries in the Pitts. ;)

Wx problems made it a one day contest. We got two flights done for Primary/Sportsman but only one for Intermediate/Advanced. Had some unusual and cool planes there - a Bucker Jungmann, an awesome 540 Chipmunk w/ single open cockpit, and RV-8 in Sportsman, and a Great Lakes in Primary.

A few other BF'ers were in attendance - Eric Anderson, Glen Becker, Flyrite (Tony), Flyritejr (Cody), and race38 (Mark), who drove down and helped judge. Cody easily won Primary in Tony's 1D, and flies super clean and crisp just like his dad. Eric A flew well in Intermediate, and all the scores were pretty close together in the Known flight. I totally blew and zero'd an inverted spin for the first time at a contest, but the other pilots simply made more costly mistakes than me. We didn't get to officially fly our Unknowns, so Adam Cope (1D) and I flew them unofficially, had them scored, and then had a best tumble contest as the last figure of the Unknown flight. Super fun. The bipe still won. :)
