    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

My top left aileron experiences a buzz with RPM above 2250'ish. All the linkages in the control system seem to be tight but I can't seem to run this one to ground.
I also have a piece of yarn taped to the slave strut to act as a tripping surface.

It appears to be prop vibration related as I can dive for speed with the power back and get no aileron buzz. Obvious answer would be get a prop balance but I did that a while ago with little change.

I did notice yesterday that the hole in the slave strut that the bolt goes thru to attach to the aileron bearing was a little over sized. I was thinking about having the hole welded over and then redrilled closer to the correct size, or possible making the hole bigger and pressing a bushing in to take up the slack. Not sure this is really contributing to the problem at all since the bolt is held tightly against the aileron hinge bearing.

Anyone experience anything like this
