I am relatively new to the biplane flying world so I need some expert information.

In all my past flying approach speed has been based on 1.3xVso and whatever additives for wind. Is this the case with a biplane??

I had been approaching in my Starduster at 80 and then 70, power off and slipping, but noticed that I was floating and or bouncing. Today I went up and did a bit of slow flight/stalls. She was stalling power off well below 40Kts. I am not so sure this is really accurate.

So I would like to know what approach speed you all are using and how/what is it based on. My runway is shortish at 2300 feet/displaced threshold of 500 feet and the standard 50 foot trees on both ends. Landing is not really an issue, I just want to do it better.

Thanks

J
