Hi guys. Not a biplane question but there's a lot of experienced guys on here so I hope its OK to ask.

On Barnstormers there's a lot of "projects" for sale for cheap.

For certified aircraft such as a Taylorcraft, Luscombe or a C-150 it's amazing how cheap they go for.

So on these types that have no engine and they are strictly projects how do people restore these if they don't have a A&P license? Do they work under the supervision of a licensed mechanic?

Is it worth it? Can somebody walk me through the thought process on this?
