Starduster one rebuild.I dont have a set of plans to look at. I was wondering if the aft cabane struts have internal reinforcements or if it is just streamlined tube welded to the fuselage? I bought my plane after the old owner flipped it on landing, did the frame repairs to his satisfaction, and stopped. I am going back and redoing some things. One thing I have noticed is the aft cabane struts have a bulge at the cluster above the reinforcement. I am trying to decide if this is from the builder making the plane or damage from the flip. Has anyone seen a pure compression bulge of streamlined tube with no denting or bending? The plane teetered on the nose before going over to give an idea on how hard it went over.
