I've been trying out different headsets in my very very loud Pitts S-1 and found the Bose ANR, Lightspeed and plain old DCs are not cutting the mustard. The ARNs get overwhelmed at high power and buzz loudly, the DCs are okay but still bloody loud.
I find with the DCs that I have to have the radio volume up really loud.
So I installed a CEP kit into my DC H10-60s and tried them out today. I was very impressed, the noise attenuation was excellent and I was able to have the volume set very low and still hear it very clearly.
Highly recommend it. It's rather cheap too and easy to install.
I wrote a blog about it if you're interested.
