GoPro 3+ Silver Edition

I'm looking to buy the GoPro 3+ Silver which is in my budget range rather that go the additional $100 for the Black. I wouldn't have a problem going with the Black if it's really worth it to do so. I'm just looking for anyone's feedback on the Silver or Black. Also, several of you have posted great videos with the camera on the side of your head versus straight in front around the forehead. How is that best mounted? I have a cloth helmet with Clarks.

If anyone has a low time Gopro they would like to sell, keep me in mind.
