    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Yesterday afternoon was clear and cold, with a ridiculously high altimeter setting. Density altitude worked out to -1000 ft MSL. I'm not a big fan of the cold (it's why I live in Texas), but my Pitts sure loves it, so I pulled on some long underwear and went flying. It was a hoot and a half.

I think that's the kind of performance I would get if I threw a bunch of money at a performance engine shop. My engine is heavy and throws oil like an old VW, but it runs like an electric motor in the cold, thick air.

Even the runway was landing well yesterday.

I can't wait for summer, but winter can be okay sometimes, too.
