It is time to send my Sensenich aluminum 74DM6-O-57 to the prop shop for reconditioning. I was wondering if you folks could offer any recommendations on fine tuning the pitch and diameter. My Acro II has a 160 HP Lyc O-320. Static RPM is 2400, Vy is 1400 FPM (solo) @ 2700 RPM (WOT), cruise is 115 MPH @ 2500 RPM. I'm happy with this performance. I think the prop is allowing the engine to work efficiently. I might be able to do better in cruise, but I think I would lose climb performance. Any thoughts on different pitch/diameters for this prop?
