It's hot in the Sacramento area around 100 F +/- for the past two months. Frankenduster has had the oil temp. up to 230 F for a few seconds on occasion, and that's no good for me. Last week I contacted Pacific oil cooler, they recommended a 6-row high efficiency oil cooler they manufacture (I had a 7 row Harrison cooler on it). I bought what they recommended and installed it where the Harrison cooler was (in the front left baffle cowling intake) I also increased the size of the scoop I had made to direct air into the cooler. Well flew it today, 85 F OAT (09:00 in the AM) climbing at 100 knots and 2650 RPM, 1500 FPM, oil temp was 203 F, I was more than happy! The new cooler has less rows, but more cooling fins to shed the heat. I paid about $725.00 for the new cooler, but it is worth the money to me. If anyone is looking for a clean Harrison 7 row cooler as a second cooler let me know $100.00 + shipping. (I posted this same information on a separate thread where I previously recommended an oil cooler from Pacific oil coolers)
