Occasionally the ammeter in my S-2A gets very erratic, the needle vibrating left and right in a blur. Then it stops on its own. It’s the oem alternator. Didn’t see any obvious wiring issues with the cowling off. Suggestions or guesses? Either there’s an alternator, solenoid, or gauge issue? Battery is new and it’s kept on a maintenance charger. I’ll get the shop to fix it but if a gauge issue that’s an easy fix I can do.
