I know this has been talked about a lot on this forum but I think this question is specific to my project.

I have talked with Nicole at Catto and she relayed my info to Craig. The following is the info they came back with for the recommended prop for my plane. If you have experience with a Catto on your Pitts I would like your opinions on this sizing. Here is the quote from Catto.

3-Bladed ACRO 36... 3-Bladed Glass/Carbon Composite Acro Propeller for Pitts S-1S

3,250.00 3,250.00

72" Diameter x 60" Pitch HAS O-320 / 185-187HP)

0-320 185-187HP@2700RPM

Top Speed at Target RPM- 170mph@2800RPM

3.5" Finished Propeller Thickness

7" Diameter Prop Flange

SAE-2 Pattern, 3/8" Bolts and 5/8" Lugs

Color: __________________ Crescent Tips

I let them know that the 0320 is bumped up to 180 to 187hp. Also the plane has a Wolf cowl and gear. I expect it to be light and clean as I have fared the gear, wheel pants, and wings in with FG fairings. I am not saying I disagree with there recommendation for the prop. I just expected it to be more like a 70"x 62"
I did tell them that I am not hard acro guy and do want a good cruise speed. I was trying for 2800rpm WOT straight and level.

What do you guys think?

Thank you. Curtis.
