Just a note for builders of the SD2. My instructor had an issue with his toe slipping inside the front seat rudder pedal while his heal became jammed against the bracing next to the fuel tank. A couple of times while aiding one of my early landings his foot got jammed and he could not apply appropriate rudder without doing a slight tap dance to free his foot. A quick fix was to use super heavy duty tie down cords (acquired at Home Depot) and weaver them back and forth across the open space of the pedal. The material they are coated with does not slip on the painted surface of the pedals and the weaving keeps them from sliding up or down on the pedals. A more permanent fix will be forth coming during the conditional inspection. Hopefully I will be signed off soon and not need a front seat instructor. Pictures to follow.
