Hello all, thought I would add my little Biplane to the list of planes already here.

I bought ZS-UFW earlier this year in an un-assembled state and trailered it home, a 1300km round trip. There are only 2 EAA Bipe's in South Africa which I think is pretty cool. Built between 1968 and 1973, flown a fair bit, she sadly had a landing mishap in June 2004. The gear was damaged, minor damage to the lower left wing. She was never reassembled. In that time her engine was lost along the way.

I have started the restoration, this being my first. I have bought a Lycoming O-235L2C from a C152 and am having a new engine mount fabricated at the moment. I have also been collecting some instruments and a radio for her panel, as these were also lost along the way. I need to decide if I should go with bungee gear or the harder springs for the gear. I will be covering her in Stewart Systems.

I look forward to learning from you experienced guys and gaining knowledge here on the forum. In the mean time, I fly a Maule M6 from an airstrip in my town, called Himeville.
