    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

I have a Hatz with a Lyc 0-320 and nose cowl that looks like it came from a PA12. The prop is a wood Sensenich 74X52. The spinner is of an unknown source but
during the commissioning of the ship we noticed several cracks in the blade cutouts. I sent it out for welding repair (expensive) and after about 8 hours of flying another crack started right through the middle of a weld. The spinner may have been from another ship or prop as the cutouts are uneven and oversized for the prop leaving some of the forward bulkhead exposed. It's about 11 1/2" in dia. and 12" long.....looks good on the ship but probably should be replaced. Any suggestions? And, any
suggestions on how to do a proper blade cutout if that's necessary on a replacement? Thanks for any advice you might have.
