So this aircraft was built in the 1970s. The fuselage has a fair bit of rust starting to show though the paint. There is a chance the fabric is still good and under that assumption my question is how to treat this.
Where the tubes are free all around light sanding and repaint.
Where they touch the fabric and where the fabric wraps around them-what to do? You can see that the rust doesn't seem to come out of the area where the fabric is glued. The tube clusters are typically still good, probably got more paint originally. The worst spot seems to be straight up in the tail where you cant even reach (the last few pics).
The inside was oiled originally and I dont feel this rust is more than cosmetic at this point. But it irks me and I want to stop it.
