    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

I'm back to building a Starduster Too . Bought The Plans years ago and got side tracked . Trading Up in the Family Airplane area so this Build will be low budget for awhile . I have enjoyed this Forum and learned a lot . I'm having some questions so , I decided it's time to contribute and be more active .
In looking over the Plans I just noticed the Center Section Spars are covered full length with .100 Birch . the spar is 58 inches long. Could this plating be scarfed together ( I have 48 inch ply sheets ) or should I get a full 4x8 sheet so the plates are one piece ?
