    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

I am getting frustrated with getting my S1S stopped on the landing roll out. I touch down pretty consistently at 63-64 mph but it seems to take 1500 to 2000+ feet to get the darn thing slowed down to a stop. If I get on the brakes hard to get any decent deceleration it just make the tires skid. It takes a lot longer to stop than a S2. How are you all getting short roll outs in S1 Pitts? Are you just living with it?
