I have a Skybolt with a Scott 3200 that I have been fighting shimmy issues since getting the plane 2 yrs ago. After a good report of the assy. condition by Bushwheel, I got things all sorted out with their reccomendations. I got a few trouble free landings, perhaps 20 on hard surface, and now I get shaking again. I need to explore the problem deeper, but on first look, it seems that the tire is now out of round or embalanced, as when I spin it, it shakes the whole back end. What might cause the out of roundness or imbalance? It seemed fine until all of a sudden.... I had normal for me landings.

It would appear that the Skybolt is hard on tail wheels, is this so, or do other types have problems too?

I know I didn't give detail, but any general suggestions?

Thanks,
larry
