    Why become a Subscribing Member?

    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

I had complained on this Forum about the controls on my Starduster. Flaring to land the slightest microscopic movement of the stick aft would cause the plane to balloon and then drop if I wasn't on the throttle. Bill PM'ed me with several suggestions, one was to tape the gaps on the elevator. I had bought tape a couple years ago but never got it on. It went bad so I bought a new roll and put it on the elevators and rudder. I only have 2 landings on it but it seems to be the answer. The loops also seem to have a better feel especially the entrance. Cheap, easy, and effective. Can't wait to do the ailerons.
