I'm going to replace the old tires (never been used, butold, cracked and weather checked) on my Starduster II soon and thought I'd ask for some advice.
I have 6.00X6 tires - 4 ply. My SD II should come in around 1,200lbs. I was looking at tires on a number of websites and there a huge number of choices in all price ranges. From $38 to $260 each.
What kind of experiences has everyone had with the different brands? High dollar and low? Is 4 ply enough? Is 8 ply too much stiffness for the weight of the plane and bungee suspension?
I was going to throw an semi-educated dart and buy the tires it hit, but I thought I'd get some opinions first.

Thanks, Craig.
