I hope a few years in this plane will be a good stepping stone to my Spitfire. I'm really intimidated by the V12 engine my full size spit requires. I knew of one person putting a Griffon V12 in his with contra-rotating props. I think he was using a Griffon 83, 2,340hp, 2,240 cubic inches of displacement. YIKES! I'm building mine as a MkVC with Eagle squadron paint scheme and an Allison V1710-111 V12, WER 1600hp, but am going to use a two stage, two speed supercharger. Should help the Allison breathe better at higher Altitudes.Edited by: Skybolt67
