I’m in my hotel room after not making a deal. I have two aircraft that are projects. This was suppose to be a plane that was taken apart for health reasons. I expected to do a ten minute prebuy & start loading up. In the pictures i noticed a possible bird nest or worse mouse nest in the wing. I stared at the tail and found a bent stringer. Apparently has been flying like that forever. The mouse nest in the wing was massive. And in the wing when obviously attached. So two apparent things that should have been disclosed. My guy instinct said there’s way more work here. So i took lunch after two hours of looking. I decided to back out. I planned some sight seeing. So the trip wouldn’t be a total waste. So the next day i couldn’t resist at least making an offer. Then i called another guy and explained all i seen. He agreed my offer was fair. They declined without any counter. So here i am. Wondering how people try to hide things. I disclose all info i know when selling a lawn mower. How can someone sleep at night being shady on selling an airplane? How can i walk away from a good deal? Has anyone else walked away from a plane they wanted?
