I ordered the plans for the RW26 Special II.
Looking at the Ragwing website I can see that the RW-2 (single seat)canbe built witha steel (4130) fuselage.
I also read somewhere that the two aircrafts are very similar.
Now, on the Ragwing website I cannot see the option to build the Special II with a 4130 fuselage.
Can anyone confirm that such an option is not available for the RW26 Special II?
The reason whyI'm asking: I live in Italy and it's easier to get 4130 than Sitka Spruce, here. So I can have someone mail me the wood in reasonable sizes (for the wing ribs, etc), but when it comes to the spars... it would be difficult (and really expensive) having the longer pieces mailed from the USA to Italy. I could as well get the 4130 here and become proficient in gas welding before I'll face the fuselage stage (or having someone smarter doing it for me). I'd have to deal with sizes (here in mm, there in fractions ofinches) but that would be definitely aneasier thing to get rid of.
Ciao!
